Bobs Candies, the world's largest manufacturer of candy canes, hired Duffey to name and launch a new line of candy products. Following consumer and retailer focus groups, Duffey named the product and developed a new logo and packaging. "Bobs Sweet Stripes" was introduced at the All-Candy Expo in Chicago and the announcement was merchandised to the candy industry.

Duffey accomplished a successful launch by targeting potential buyers, who would be present at the Expo, through a direct mail piece and telesales program. Collateral materials used at the Bobs' booth were developed to help facilitate the launch. Bobs was the focus of substantial media coverage throughout key trade and national business media. Superstation WGN-TV highlighted special coverage of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley's visit to the Sweet Stripes booth. Duffey's direct mailing received a 25 percent response rate and the overall campaign generated a 500 percent return above the anticipated response.
