Adelphia Business Solutions, one of the nation’s fastest growing Integrated Communications Providers (ICP), entered major metropolitan markets in the Southeast and was orchestrating a marketing push to coincide with the launch of its switches/fiber networks. In order to differentiate itself within what had become an aggressive Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) market, Adelphia Business Solutions integrated a strong public relations campaign into its overall marketing strategy.

Duffey supported the public relations efforts with a mix of executions including key message development and customized media training program for general managers. Associations and organizations were identified in each city that provided the highest level of peer-to-peer networking opportunities within the small- to medium-sized local business market. Added peer-to-peer marketing tactics within these organizations included brokering community relations partnerships, securing speaking engagements and seeking board and committee positions.

A series of local “Light the Network” launch events were also planned and managed, creating awareness among key audiences for Adelphia Business Solutions – high-level government officials and business executives as well as the media. Media exposure included ongoing publication in major daily newspapers and business journals as well as coverage in the Wall Street Journal, X-Change Magazine and GPTV’s “Georgia Business Report.”
