Allied Utility Network helps a range of electric and gas utilities owners and operators to develop and operate their own retail product and service companies. Duffey was engaged to leverage Allied’s presence at one of the industry’s largest trade shows. Based on Duffey’s strategic insights about the trade show participants, the agency coordinated incentive-based activities to engage the audience during the popular hospitality reception.
- Themed “Hospitality Suite," Duffey developed the "A Sweet Deal From Allied Utility Network" promotion designed to generate overall excitement surrounding Allied and break through the clutter of other participating companies.
- VIP Interactive Invitation: the agency designed and produced a dynamic invitation that included a company brochure, informational video, introduction letter, and an invitation card with an attached chocolate.
- The invitation package was disseminated to key audiences prior to the event including potential Allied customers and energy and related trade publications.
As a result of the agency’s efforts:
- Nearly 50 percent of invited guests attended the reception.
- Sixty-six percent of media contacted the company after the tradeshow.
- Allied was interviewed by the BridgeNews news service, and its president and CEO was asked to be a regular columnist for Energy Magazine.
- Duffey Communications was engaged to produce a set of network member manuals for Allied that enables them to set up retail companies and sell telecommunications, home management and energy services and products to its customers. The manuals were designed to be self-contained, provide mobility and be easily managed by the client.
